Trust and accountability

Editorial and data policy

These principles govern how GainFair presents credit-card information and keeps commercial considerations separate from the recommendation calculation.

Primary sources first

Material card rules should be sourced from the issuer product page, reward terms, fee schedule or other official issuer publication.

Verification is dated

Every catalogue record carries a last-verified date so readers can judge freshness and editors can audit changes.

No commission input

Affiliate economics are not inputs to the recommendation engine. A card must win on the user-facing calculation.

No fabricated ratings

GainFair does not publish invented customer ratings, review counts or unsupported claims of approval likelihood.

Corrections should be visible

When a material rule is found to be wrong or outdated, the record should be corrected and re-verified.

Readers verify before applying

Issuer terms control. GainFair links to those terms and warns when benefits, eligibility or merchant treatment may vary.
